契柯夫，（l860～1904）

19世纪末俄国伟大的批判现实主义作家，情趣隽永、文笔犀利的幽默讽刺大师，短篇小说的巨匠，著名剧作家。

契柯夫出生于小市民家庭，父亲的杂货铺破产后，他靠当家庭教师读完中学，1879年入莫斯科大学学医，1884年毕业后从医并开始文学创作。

他早期作品多是短篇小说，如《胖子和瘦子》(1883)、《小公务员之死》(1883)、苦恼(1886)、（万卡）（1886）年，再现了“小人物”的不幸和软弱，劳动人民的悲惨生活和小市民的庸俗猥琐。而在《变色龙》及普里希别叶夫中士（1885）中，作者鞭挞了忠实维护专制暴政的奴才及其专横跋扈、暴戾恣睢的丑恶嘴脸，揭示出黑暗时代的反动精神特征。1890年，他到政治犯人流放地库页岛考察后，创作出表现重大社会课题的作品，如第六病室（1892），就是猛烈抨击沙皇专制暴政的作品，该小说使列宁阅读后都受到很大震动。《带阁楼的房子》（1896），揭露了沙俄社会对人的青春、才能、幸福的毁灭，讽刺了自由派地方自治会改良主义活动的于事无补。《农民》（1897）极其真实地描述了农民在80、90年代极度贫困的生活现状，表现了他对农民悲惨命运的关心同情，而在峡谷里则揭露富农穷凶极恶的剥削，反映了资本主义渗透农村的情况，说明作者把表现俄国社会阶级斗争列入其创作主题，在《新娘》（1903）中，他相信旧制度一定灭亡，新“生活早晚会来！”

契柯夫后期转向戏剧创作，主要作品有伊凡诺夫（1887）、《海鸥》（1896）、《万尼亚舅舅》(1896)、《三姊妹》(1901)、樱桃园》（1903），都曲折反映了俄国1905年大革命前夕一部分小资产阶级知识分子的苦闷和追求。其剧作含有浓郁的抒情味和丰富的潜台词，令人回味无穷，剧本故事虽取材于日常生活，情节朴素，进展平稳，但却富有深刻象征意义。

他的小说短小精悍，简练朴素，结构紧凑，情节生动，笔调幽默，语言明快，富于音乐节奏感，寓意深刻。他善于从日常生活中发现具有典型意义的人和事，通过幽默可笑的情节进行艺术概括，塑造出完整的典型形象，以此来反映当时的俄国社会。其代表作《变色龙》、《套中人》堪称俄国文学史上精湛而完美的艺术珍品，前者成为见风使舵、善于变相、投机钻营者的代名词；后者成为因循守旧、畏首畏尾、害怕变革者的符号象征。

契柯夫以卓越的讽刺幽默才华为世界文学人物画廊中增添了两个不朽的艺术形象。他的名言“简洁是天才的姊妹”也成为后世作家孜孜追求的座右铭。

契柯夫对中国人民怀有美好的感情，曾约高尔基一同访问中国，但因久病不治而未遂心愿。1904年7月15日因肺病恶化而辞世。

J： 什么笔，我看看。（从W手中拿过盒子，里面是一只颜色鲜艳的钢笔。J把笔拿在手中反复地看）恩，不错，这笔。（拔去笔帽，仔细看笔尖）恩，好笔，好笔！（眼中流露出贪婪）

W：（从J手中拿过笔）谁叫你不去开会，亏了吧！

J： 我……唉！算了算了！

（2） 日常办公室

Q：怎么了，黑着个脸。

J： 没什么，落掉一个会没开。

Q：啊？刚才的会你没去？亏了，你！

J： 就是说了，一根好笔飞掉了。

Q：呵呵你也知道发钢笔了啊！下次开会还是要积极哦，会虽然无聊，甜头还是有的。

J： 恩，恩！

（3） 书店

（X和J在书店里转悠，X忽然发现一扇小门。）

X：哦？这干吗的，装修这么漂亮。

J： 进去看看吧。（和X走进小门）

售货员：欢迎二位！这里是英雄钢笔专卖店，二位里面请！

X：原来是卖钢笔的啊，没意思。（拉着J就往外走）

J： 哎，看看么！（挣脱X，走进商店。）

（在里面有一款名叫“变色龙”的吸引了J的目光。这支笔不是别的，正是他们开会发的那一种！）

售货员：先生，这一款叫做“变色龙”，是英雄金笔厂的高档产品。它之所以叫“变色龙”是因为它的笔杆的颜色。（拿起钢笔，对着灯光，转动笔杆，顿时彩光四射，美不胜收）

J：（眼睛瞪直了）哇！太漂亮了！确实不错！（回头看一眼标价牌）呜！要350元！（J顿时神情沮丧）

售货员：这是厂家推荐的零售价。先生您如果真的想要，我们可以适当优惠）

J：（摆摆手）哦，那还是算了吧。这么好的笔，打折卖出去，不是糟蹋了么。唉，我还是好好工作赚了钱再来吧！（走出门外）

售货员：（笑）呵呵，好的，欢迎再来！

X：嘿嘿，被打击了吧！那种笔是给老板级的人用的！

J： 以后我当了老板，一定买一根这个笔！

X：当老板就不用自己买啦！到时候会有人来送的！

J： 你给我送啊，那现在就送么好了！

X：嘿嘿，你算老几啊我给你送。

（4） 日常办公室

Q：明天有个会，别忘了哦！这次听说又有礼品的！

J： 哦！好的好的好的一定来一定来！什么礼品知道么？

Q：那不知道。反正有的拿就不错了，你还想怎么样。

J： 那是那是，这次再不能误掉了。上回亏大了。

Q：你还在想那个啊！算啦算啦，这种东西不要太计较。

J： 恩。明天几点！

J： OK。

（5） 工地办公室

D：（看见W桌上的金笔盒，拿过来打开看）哟，万工哪儿搞了这么漂亮一根笔。

W：哦，是那天开会发的。

D：啊？开会发这么好的笔啊！业主就是业主，到底跟咱不一样。

W：嗨，一根破笔有什么稀罕的。今天他们母线安装的怎么样了。

D：哦母线啊，刚才我去看过了，装好的我都标在这张图上了。

W：（拿过图纸）恩，不错不错，他们的进度上来了么！

D：都是我催的呀！而且我这样标上，他们想赖也赖不掉。

W：恩，你这样做很对。那11号前应该能完吧。

D：照目前的样子差不多。

W：那就好。这次能提前完成，你的功劳不小啊！

D：那当然了。唉，不过啊，到时候您老人家领赏去了，我们还是一分都没有啊！

W：那你要怎么着？本来就是你的工作嘛！

D：我给你帮了那么大的忙，你总得表示表示吧！

W：怎么表示？我不明白你意思。

D：（晃着手中的笔）得，就把这个笔归我得了。

W：那你拿去么好了。我这个人不大用钢笔的。

（J在一旁看着。当他看到D把金笔盒放进皮包的时候，睁大了眼睛）

（6） 6#会议室

（E部门的人在和承包商开会，听对方介绍产品。会议已经接近尾声。）

承包商：我们公司这方面的产品主要就有这些。呃……这几个小东西代表我们的一点心意，希望今后能和贵公司愉快合作！

（秘书拿来一叠计算器大小的盒子，一盒盒地发给众人）

J：（打开盒子，里面是一个电子台历）这个啊。（脸上掠过一丝失望）

Q：好象是个计算器么。

J：恩，也能当计算器。功能蛮多的。

Q：呵呵！你研究通了告诉我。

J： 这破玩意儿，不要也罢！

（7） 工地办公室

（J在座位上摆弄刚才发的电子台历，D从外面走进来）

D：什么东西啊，玩的这么开心。

J： 哦，电子台历。

D：电子台历？我看看。（从J手中拿过来，用指头在按钮上点来点去）还能当计算器呢。

J： 就是。还可以当闹钟，还可以看世界各地的时间。好象还有游戏。

D：哦，对，这个是游戏。（揿下游戏按钮，开始玩游戏）

（看着D在开心地玩游戏，J想起了那根她要去的钢笔，心生一计）

J： 好玩么，游戏？

D：恩……好玩好玩。哎呀！你看你，一打岔我死掉了。

J： 嗨，死掉就死掉呗。你拿回家慢慢玩吧。

D：什么？让我拿回家？

J： 是啊，送给你啦！反正我要走了，这个留给你作纪念吧。

D：哦那太谢谢了！

J： 不客气。不过最好你也送我一样东西，互为留念嘛你说是不是。

D：呃……好呀，可是我想不出该送个啥。

J： 这个你就慢慢想吧。也别专门到外面去买了，把你本来就有的东西送给我一样得了。

D：我没什么东西好送呀。

J： 你回家打开写字台抽屉，没准就能发现呢。

D；我真的没什么可送人的东西啊。你喜欢什么东西？

J： 呃……我正缺一根钢笔用呢！

（W急匆匆地走过，指着旁边的一间小会议室）

W：喂，你们两个，开会了，这屋。

D：（抬手看表）哦，5点了，日会。

J： 又是破日会！

（8） 第二天，工地办公室

J： 早上好！给我的纪念品带来了么？

D：呵呵，带来了带来了。给。（把一个细长的钢笔盒递给J）不错吧！

J：（看到不是“变色龙”的盒子，感到非常失望）恩，钢笔，谢谢谢谢。但愿比较好用。

D；肯定好用！放心吧你！

J： 呵呵！

（9） J的寝室

（晚上J坐在灯下，拿出白天D送的钢笔。这是一支普通的钢笔，笔杆上有“特细，财会专用”几个字。J把笔尖在水龙头上冲了冲，擦干，然后灌满墨水，拿过一张纸在上面写写画画。这支笔并不流利，而且J觉得这支笔轻重不合适，笔帽的端部太重，其他地方又太轻，这让他感到格外别扭）

J：（把笔往纸上重重一放） 唉，这破笔！哼，这个鸟婆娘，居然不上当。她并不识货啊！

再说把电子台历给她已经够意思了！唉，这么好的笔落到这种俗人手里，真是明珠暗投，暴殄天物啊！（把笔帽一盖，往笔筒里一丢，起身书了门）

（10） C的寝室

J：（敲C的门）陈大哥，开门！

C：推！

J：（进门，走到C旁边坐下。C正在打电脑游戏）嗨，你就知道玩雷电，Childish！

C：怎么，不服啊。你看我都打到第8关了。

J：（拉开C的抽屉）你这有没有什么好的碟片呀？

（J在C的抽屉里翻着，看见一个装钢笔的盒子，上面有HERO27几个字。J拿出盒子，打开，里面有一支挺漂亮的钢笔。这支钢笔的端部、中部和尾部各有一段是金色，其余部分灰黑色，闪着金属的光泽，显得很典雅。J把笔帽拔下、套上反复几次，又捏着笔假装写了几下，掂了掂重量。本来一打开盒子看见这支笔的时候J就觉得这笔不错，再加上把玩了一番，凭他的经验认定这是一支相当好的钢笔）

J：这笔不错么。

C：哪个笔？

J：（把笔放到靠近电脑屏幕的地方）就这个。

C：（快速地扫了一眼）哦，别人送的，我一直没用。怎么，你喜欢啊。

J：恩，真的不错。这笔真的可以。

C：不错就送给你吧。你是不是要走？给你当纪念得了。

J： 那谢谢你啦！你怎么知道我要走？

C：嗨，谁不知道？！哎呀，又翘了！

J： 嘿嘿，最后一关死掉了。活该活该！

C：又没通关，唉，可惜可惜！

J： 通关就没意思了。没通关么你还有理由再来一次的呀！

C：呵呵！你这小子。算了不玩了，咱们看《寻秦记》吧。（关闭游戏窗口，打开MOVIE文件夹）

J： 啊，你这有《寻秦记》啊！干吗不早说！快快快！

C：别猴急么！这不正在打开么。

（屏幕上弹出超级解霸的界面，二人津津有味地看了起来）

（11） J的寝室

（J回到寝室已是深夜。J疲惫地坐到桌前，拿出C送的HERO27，放在灯下细细端详。J发现这支笔做工很精细，笔尖的花纹很优美。J忽然想起在某期《小说月报》的封面上好象就是这支笔。想到这里，J心里一阵激动。J还是把笔在水龙头上冲了冲，擦干，灌上墨水，拿过一张纸来写。碳素墨水顺畅地自笔尖流出，在白纸上汇成一行行优美的字体。J觉得手感很好，于是运笔如飞，抑扬顿挫，一口气写满了整整一页纸，写的是张学友分手总要在雨天的歌词。）

（漆黑的夜里，J躺在床上）

J： HERO27大概也就五、六十块钱吧。它又不是金笔，属于“平民”。“变色龙”三百多的身价，是名副其实的贵族钢笔啊！以后我当了老板，会有人给我送“变色龙”的……

（窗外淅沥沥地下起雨来，J迷迷糊糊地睡着了。远处传来了张学友的歌声：“是你的一切告别在雨天……”

把一部小说、一本书、一出舞台剧或一篇文章改编成电vv影剧本跟创作独创的电vv影剧本是一样的。“进行改编”

（toadapt）意味着从一种媒介改变成另一种媒介。改编（adaption）的定义是：“通过变化或调整使之更合宜或适应的一种能力”——也就是把某些事情加以变更从而在结构、功能和形式上造成变化，以便调整得更恰当。

换句话说，小说就是小说，舞台剧就是舞台剧，电vv影剧本就是电vv影剧本。把一本书改编成电vv影剧本，意味着把这一个（书）改变成为另一个（电vv影剧本），而不是把这一个叠加在另一个之上。它不是拍成电vv影的小说，或者拍成电vv影的舞台剧。它们是两种截然不同的形式。一个是苹果，另一个是桔子。

当你把一部小说、一出舞台剧、一篇文章，甚至于一首歌曲改编成电vv影剧本时，你是在把一种形式改变为另一种形式。你是根据它原来的素材来写一个电vv影剧本。

然而从实质上讲，你还是在创作一个独创的电vv影剧本，因而你必须以独创的方式来探讨它。

一部小说通常涉及的是一个人的内在生活，是在戏剧性动作的思想景象中发生的人物的思想、感情、情绪与回忆。 在小说中，你可以用一句话、一个段落，一页稿纸，或一个章节，来描写人物的内心对白、思想、感情和印象等等。小说时常发生在人物的脑海内。

另一方面，一出舞台剧是在舞台面的规定范围之内用对话把思想、感情和事件描绘出来。戏剧涉及的是戏剧性行动的语言（language）。

电vv影剧本涉及的是外部情境（externals），是具体的细节——一只钟的滴嗒声，一个小孩在空旷的街道上游戏，一辆汽车拐过街角等。电vv影剧本是一个用画面来讲述的故事，它发生在戏剧结构的来龙去脉之中。

曾经导演过《筋疲力尽》（Breathless）、《周末》（Weekend）和《随心所欲》（VivresaVie）等片的富于创新精神的法国电vv影导演让━吕克·戈达尔（Jean-LucG-

odard）说过，电vv影正在发展自己的语言，所以我们要学习如何去读解画面。

改编的剧本应该看作是独创的电vv影剧本。它只不过是以小说、书籍、舞台剧、文章或歌曲为起点。这些都是材料来源，是起点。仅此而已。

当你改编一部小说时，你没有必要把自己仅限于忠实于原素材的地步。

时间：一天中午

地点：俄国的一条小路旁的一个市场的广场（广场周围有不少商店、饭馆，但都冷冷清清）

人物：警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（肥胖并不是很高，两手放在腰后面，挺着大肚子；穿着新的军大衣，头戴着军帽，留着胡子；溜须拍马、见风使舵、虚伪的小人）

巡警：（有火红色的头发，紧跟着警官奥楚蔑洛夫后面）

首饰匠赫留金：（被狗咬伤手指；穿着桨硬的花布衬衫）

人群：（随便小声地议论、讨论着）

将军家的厨师普洛诃尔：（穿白色的厨师服）

环境：刚开始市场广场周围都很静、萧条，没什么人，在广场周围有不少商店、饭馆，但都冷冷清清；随着事情的发生人渐渐多了起来，气氛变得活跃了一点。

背景：警官奥楚蔑洛夫在广场附近巡逻时，在商人彼得金的木柴厂里发生了一件狗咬首饰匠赫留金的事情。

（警官奥楚蔑洛夫穿着新的军大衣，提着小包，穿过市场的广场。他身后跟着一个红色头发的巡警，端着一的筛子，盛满了没收来的醋栗。广场一个人都没有，很沉静）

首饰匠赫留金：（喊叫）好哇，你咬人？该死的东西！伙计们，别放走它！这年月，咬人可不行！逮住它！哎呦……哎呦！

（警官奥楚蔑洛夫向声音传出的地方瞧去；一条只有三条腿的狗从商人彼得金的木柴厂一颠一颠地跑出来，不住回头瞧。它后面跟着追来一个人，穿着桨硬的花布衬衫和敞着怀的坎肩。他追上狗，身子往前一探，扑倒在地，抓住那条狗的后腿。）

人群：（喊）别放走它。

（有人从商店里探出头，带着睡意的脸纷纷从小铺里探出来，不久木柴场门口就聚上一群人，象是从地底下钻出来的一样）

巡警：（附在奥楚蔑洛夫耳旁）好象出乱子了，长官！（奥楚蔑洛夫把身子微微往左边一转，迈步往人群那边走过去。在木柴场门口，他看见上述那个敞开坎肩的人站在那儿，举起右手，伸出一根血淋淋的手指头给那群人看。）

首饰匠赫留金：（半醉的脸）我要我要揭你的皮，坏蛋！（闹出这场乱子的祸首是一条白毛小猎狗，尖尖的脸，背上有一块黄斑，这时候坐在人群中央的地上，前腿劈开，浑身发抖。它那含泪的眼睛里流露出苦恼和恐惧。）

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（提高声音，面带“严肃”，官气）这儿到底出了什么事？（挤进人群中，朝匠赫留金问道）你在这儿干什么？你究竟为什么举着那个手指头？……谁在嚷？

首饰匠赫留金：（凑着空拳头咳嗽，开口说）我本来走我的路，官长，没招谁没惹谁，……我正跟米特利·米特利奇谈木柴的事，忽然间，这个坏东西无缘无故把我的手指头咬一口。……请您原谅我，我是个干活的人。……我的活儿细致。这得赔我一笔钱才成，因为我也许一个星期都不能动这根手指头了。……法律上，官长，也没有这么一条，说是人受了畜生的害就该忍着。……要是人人都遭狗咬，那还不如别在这个世界上活着的好。……（声音有点颤，面部表情带有点可怜）

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：嗯！……好，……（奥楚美洛夫严厉地说，咳嗽着，动了动眉毛。）好。……这是谁家的狗？这种事我不能放过不管。我要拿点颜色出来叫那些放出狗来闯祸的人看看！现在也该管管不愿意遵守法令的老爷们了！等到罚了款，他，这个混蛋，才会明白把狗和别的畜生放出来有什么下场！我要给他点厉害瞧瞧……叶尔德林（对巡警），你去调查清楚这是谁家的狗，打个报告上来！这条狗得打死才成。不许拖延！这多半是条疯狗。……请问，这到底是谁家的狗？

人群：（有人小声地说）这条狗好像是席加洛夫将军家的。

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（楞了下）席加洛夫将军家的？嗯！……你，叶尔德林，帮我把身上的大衣脱下来。……天好热！大概快要下雨了。……只是有一件事我不懂：它怎么会咬你的？（对赫留金问道）难道它够得到你的手指头？它身子矮小，可是你，要知道，长得这么高大！你这个手指头多半是让小钉子扎破了，后来却异想天开，要人家赔你钱了。你这种人啊……谁都知道是个什么路数！我可知道你们这些鬼东西是什么玩意儿！

一人群：官长，他本来是开玩笑的，把雪茄烟戳到狗的脸上去，狗呢，不肯做傻瓜，就咬了他一口。……他是个荒唐的家伙，官长！（指着赫留金说）

首饰匠赫留金：（怒）你胡说，独眼龙！你眼睛看不见，为什么胡说？他老人家是明白人，看得出来谁胡说，谁像当着上帝的面一样凭良心说话。……我要胡说，就让调解法官审判我好了。他的法律上写得明白。……如今大家都平等了。……不瞒您说，……我弟弟就在当宪兵。………警官奥楚蔑洛夫：少说废话！

巡警：（深思）不对，这条狗不是将军家的……将军家里没有这样的狗。他家里的狗大半是大猎狗……

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（低声地问巡警）你拿得准吗？

（面带疑惑）巡警：拿得准，官长……警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（态度转变）我自己也知道。将军家里的狗都是些的名贵、纯种的狗；这条狗呢，鬼才知道是什么东西！毛色既不好，模样也不中看，……完全是下贱胚子。居然有人会养这种狗！这人的脑子上哪儿去了？要是这样的狗在彼得堡或者莫斯科让人碰上，你们猜猜会怎么样？那儿才不管什么法律不法律，一转眼的工夫就叫它断了气！你呢，赫留金，受了害，这件事不能放过不管。……得教训他们一下！是时候了。……（对自己的说法很满意，用手揽了下赫留金的肩膀）

巡警：不过也可能是将军家的狗……（悄悄地对奥楚蔑洛夫说）它脸上又没写着……前几天我在他家院子里就见到过这样一条狗。

人群（几个人）没错儿，是将军家的！

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（脸色有点变，红红的）哦！……叶尔德林老弟，给我穿上大衣吧。……好像起风了……怪冷的……你带着这条狗到将军家里去一趟，问问清楚。就说这条狗是我找着，派你送上的……告诉他们以后不要把狗放到街上来。也许它是名贵的狗，要是每个猪崽子都拿雪茄烟戳到它鼻子上去，那它早就毁了。狗是娇贵的动物……你这个混蛋，把手放下来！不用把你那根蠢手指头伸出来！这都怪你自己不好！……

人群：将军家的厨师来了，我们来问问他吧。……喂，普洛诃尔！你过来，亲爱的！你看看这条狗。……是你们家的吗？

将军家的厨师普洛诃尔：（伸头到人群中看看，摇摇头）瞎猜！我们那儿从来也没有过这样的狗！

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（向巡警拜拜手）那就用不着白费工夫去那儿问了，这是条野狗！用不着多说了……既然他说是野狗，那就是野狗……弄死它算了。 （

首饰匠赫留金露出得意的笑容）

将军家的厨师普洛诃尔：（接着说）这条狗不是我们家的，可这是将军哥哥的狗，他前几天到我们这儿来了。我们将军不喜欢这种狗，他哥哥却喜欢……

警官奥楚蔑洛夫：（吃惊）将军哥哥来啦？是乌拉吉米尔. 伊凡尼奇吗？（满脸洋溢着含笑的温情），哎呀，天啊，我还不知道呢！他是上这儿住一阵子就走吗？

旁白：话说梁山伯和祝英台三年前一同来到刚刚成立的武汉新东方书院学习英语。  梁山伯酷爱口语师从口语老师邓大付学习美国口语，尤其擅长模仿马丁路德金的演讲。  （旁白暂停，邓英文“I have a dream ”）。祝英台一心梦想出国，梦想有朝一日成为BBC主持人（旁白暂停，祝英文“this is BBC…。）最终祝英台以托福和GRE高分的成绩被哥伦比亚大学录取。    在祝英台临走的那一天，梁山伯十八里相送在天河机场与祝英台缠绵告别。

吊灯事件后整整六个月，歌剧院都没有Phantom的消息。  ，歌剧院举行的盛大舞会。Christine和Raoul已经订婚了，但是他们的订婚消息并没有公开，Christine的订婚戒指也一直被她偷偷挂在项链上面。  舞会中间，Phantom突然再次出现了，这一次，他打扮成红色死神，并且交个剧院经理他呕心沥血所编写的剧本，唐徨。  一开始，经理们不同意演出这个离奇而且怪异的剧本。但是Raoul提议他们可以先排练，再设计下圈套捕捉Phantom。  几经商量，他们的计策逐渐成型，但是要用Christine做诱饵。

After the party

唐徨的首场演出时，整个巴黎歌剧院布满了警察和看守，都满心期待着抓到Phantom。  在最后一段压轴歌曲里，Phantom扮成男主角。  后，他甩脱了警察的包围，再一次挟带着Christine来到歌剧院底下，穿过水池，来到他藏身的地方。Raoul追到Christine的化妆室，找不到暗门。Giry太太是Phantom的传信人，但是她觉得Raoul和Christine是真心相爱，于是她指Raoul打开镜子后面的暗门，Raoul一路追到了秘室。    

R: where are they had gone。 It seems that they had disappear。

G: What's wrong。 Why are you here, viscount?

R: you should know I lost my way。     I must find my fiancée as soon as I can。 You Mrs。 Giry know a lot of phantom should know where he had gone。   Tell me。

G: (should I tell him what I know, I'm the passenger of phantom but。  ) now tell me young one you love Christine and she loves you don't you。

G: Ok I feel for Christine so much。   Ok you go down through the door of the mirror。 This is all I can help

Phantom看到Raoul走近，他放下铁条闸门，把Raoul锁在门外，他告诉Christine，如果她肯他走，他就会放Raoul一命，如果Christine不同意，那么他就杀了Raoul。    这时警察们追着Raoul也来到密室外面。Phantom忽然转念，决定放这一对年轻的恋人离开，因为他明白Christine永远不会爱他，他的一番苦心也永远不会有结果。他打开秘室的闸门，警察一拥而进，可是一阵烟雾过后，Phantom所坐的椅子上只留下一只面具，人却消失得无影无踪了。    

R: Free her! Do what you like, only free her!
